During the sacred month of Dhul Hijjah, Muslims around the world observe the tradition of Qurbani—sacrificing an animal such as a cow, buffalo, goat, sheep, or camel—in honor of the legacy of Prophet Ibrahim (peace be upon him). Each year, Orphan Love Foundation carries out its nationwide Qurbani Project, ensuring the distribution of fresh sacrificial meat to impoverished families, orphans, and other vulnerable communities across Bangladesh. This initiative brings joy, nourishment, and hope to thousands during the blessed days of Eid al-Adha.
“(The righteous are those) who feed the poor, the orphan, and the captive for the love of God, saying: ‘We feed you for the sake of God alone; we seek from you neither reward nor thanks.’
— Qur’an, Surah Al-Insan (76:8–9)
No child deserves to fall asleep hungry—yet countless orphans in our society face this reality every day. At Orphan Love Foundation, we turn your compassion into nourishment, ensuring vulnerable children receive the meals they need to grow, learn, and flourish.

Orphan Love Foundation has designed its Aqiqah Project to allow people to donate the sacrifice meal directly to those most in need. The Aqiqah Project provides an opportunity for those who cannot afford to purchase meat, to have the nutritional benefit of your Meat Packet. The project involves the distribution of these fresh meat packets to the most vulnerable people, including women, children, and elderly. Each meat packet distributed contains a sufficient amount of meat for a family.
For a baby boy, two animals are sacrificed. For a baby girl, one animal is sacrificed.
The Prophet ﷺ said: “Perform the ‘Aqiqah (sacrifice) on behalf of the child, and shave his head and remove the harm from him.”

Marriage is the most beautiful and most blessed act that every young person looks forward to. In our society, many families below the poverty line don’t have the means to cover the cost of marriage. Trust Fund for Marriage will support the family and couple to get married without having the financial and emotional stress of covering the cost. Orphan Love Foundation receives referrals from the bride and groom's families for a grant to help cover the cost of the wedding. In Bangladesh, 80,000 would pay for the entire wedding expense.
And among His signs is this, that He created for you mates from among yourselves, that you may dwell in peace and tranquillity with them, and He has put love and mercy between your (hearts).
— Qur'an 30:21
Millions of orphans and underprivileged people in Bangladesh struggle to access even the most basic healthcare. Orphan Love Foundation bridges this gap by sponsoring medical care, dental care, medication, treatment, diagnostic tests, and wheelchair support for patients who have no means to pay. With your generosity, our team works with healthcare stakeholders to deliver life-changing medical care to the poor, ensuring they receive the treatment and dignity they deserve.
Qardh al-Hasan is a benevolent, interest-free loan extended purely for welfare and compassion. In Islam, interest is prohibited, and therefore the borrower is required to repay only the original amount borrowed—no more. If the borrower faces financial hardship, the lender must grant additional time for repayment and may even choose to waive part or all of the debt. This spirit of generosity also supports Debt Relief, helping individuals break free from burdens that hinder their stability and dignity.
The Qur’an encourages believers to extend such kindness: “Who is he that will give Allah a goodly loan (Qard Hasan)? For Allah will increase it manifold to his credit.”
— (Qur’an 57:11)
In Bangladesh, many families lack proper housing and secure shelter. As a disaster-prone country, floods, cyclones, and other natural calamities destroy thousands of homes every year. Orphan Love Foundation is working to change this reality by constructing tin-shed and concrete houses for orphans, underprivileged individuals, and vulnerable families—providing them with the safety and dignity of a stable home.
In rural Bangladesh, 97% of the population depends on tube wells for water. Orphan Love Foundation builds tube wells to provide clean, safe drinking water to underprivileged communities. Access to pure groundwater protects families from water-borne diseases, reduces the time spent fetching water, and improves overall hygiene. With water nearby, children can attend school, parents can focus on earning a living, and entire communities can thrive.
The Prophet ﷺ emphasized the importance of providing water as a form of charity. Sa’d ibn ‘Ubadah reported: "I said, ‘O Messenger of Allah, my mother has died. Shall I give charity on her behalf?’ The Prophet ﷺ said, ‘Yes.’ I said, ‘Which charity is best?’ The Prophet ﷺ said, ‘A drink of water.’"

Orphan Love Foundation is dedicated to breaking the cycle of poverty and empowering individuals to live lives of dignity, safety, and security. We believe that utilizing Sadaqah or Zakat to support family-run business startups can provide lasting empowerment, enabling families to earn sustainable livelihoods and thrive. Through our Business Startups program, families receive financial grants to establish small local enterprises, such as selling fruits and vegetables, opening a convenience store, running a food truck, or operating a pick-and-drop vehicle service. This initiative equips families with the means to achieve economic independence and long-term stability.
Empowering families through self-employment like cattle farming, sewing, gardening, or operating a battery rickshaw, not only provides sustainable livelihoods but also aligns with the spirit of Islam. The Prophet ﷺ encouraged earning through honest work and self-reliance, and supporting others to do so is a form of Sadaqah that benefits both giver and receiver. By enabling families to earn with dignity, we help them break the cycle of poverty while fulfilling a noble Islamic principle of uplifting the needy.
